The first Regional Conference within the project “Empowering young people at risk of social exclusion” was held in Ulcinj, from 25th to 28th of May.
The project “Empowering young people at risk of social exclusion”, supported by the European Union, will be implemented in the Western Balkans for 45 months, from January 2016 to October 2019.
The project is coordinated by the NGO Juventas, and their project partners are ARSIS from Albania, Association Margina from Bosnia and Herzegovina, HOPS from Macedonia, NGO Labyrinth from Kosovo, Prevent from Serbia and SHL Foundation from Germany. The network of these organizations will implement activities with the aim of contributing to the active participation in the social processes of young people from the Western Balkans, who are at greatest risk of social exclusion.
The first 5 months of project’s implementation were the inception phase, used for developing a more detailed implementation strategy, meeting with key partners and creating the Network, in consultation with most relevant stakeholders.
In order to form the first regional Network of CSOs that work with Youth At-risk, the project’s partners have gathered in Montenegro at the founding conference of the Network and prepared the necessary strategic documentation. The Network, named ARYSE (At Risk Youth Social Empowerment) Network would increase the overall strength, impact, quality of service delivered and advocacy efforts of CSOs from the WB region and Turkey towards national, regional and EU institutions, allowing them to play a more active role in the decision making processes and the overall social reform processes in the aforementioned countries.
